Harford County - MD – September 24, 2008. The 17th annual Harford Awards Program was held Wednesday, September 24th at the Richlin Ballroom. Over 380 business and community leaders attended the dinner event which recognized five Harford County firms for their outstanding contributions to the community, the economy and their employees. Since its inception, the event has honored over 77 companies. The Harford Awards program, produced by Harford County Government, the Office of Economic Development; Harford Community College; and the Harford County Chamber of Commerce, continues to be a celebratory occasion to honor these prestigious companies who give back to the community.

Log.Sec Corporation was selected as the winner of the 2008 Harford County R&D/Technology Award category. This prestigious award honors companies and organizations which exemplify a strong commitment to the business community based upon the following criteria: Business growth, increased employment, service to the community, sensitivity to the environment, creative business strategies, technology advancements, support of public/private education and working to enhance Harford County's business climate. Log.Sec Corporation is joining a long list of winners over the past 15 years who have won this prestigious award. Some previous winners include Comcast Cable, Booze Allen Hamilton and SAIC.

Erik Thamm accepted the award on behalf of Log.Sec Corporation and stated the Company was "honored to be recognized for this prestigious award. The significant growth the company has experienced over the last few years is amazing and Company's co-owners – James Sirkis, Vice President-Information Technology Group (ITG) and George Perise, Vice President-Military Systems Group (MSG) and I attribute Log.Sec's success to our managers and employees who are some of the most dedicated and committed workers in the government contracting industry. It's easy to get recognized as #1 when you have such a great team of employees!" He thanked the Log.Sec Corporation employees for their outstanding support.

Activities were videotaped by Comcast, a corporate sponsor and major contributor to the evening. Comcast videotaped segments for each award winner, which premiered during the awards ceremony and will be broadcasted at 8 pm every Saturday evening in October 2008 on Harford Cable Network on Comcast Channel 21 and Armstrong (Clearview) Channel 7.
